Accrington Stanley Women got their new season off to the perfect start on Sunday, recording an impressive 7-1 victory over Morecambe.
Ex-England goalkeeper, Rachel Brown Finnis, visited Accrington Stanley U10s girls’ team last week. The visit took place to encourage more girls to attend Kellogg’s Football Camps during the summer holidays, and saw Rachel speak to the players about her incredible journey from playing at Stanley to reaching the WSL and representing England at the World Cup.
Accrington Stanley Women have announced a landmark partnership with Accrington & Rossendale College, part of the Nelson & Colne College Group, that will see the college become a key venue for training and matches across Stanley Women’s girls’ and women’s teams. For the 2025-26 season, Stanley Women will have 25 junior teams and four Open age teams, with player ages ranging from U9s to over 40s.
